Due to the escalation in the number of confirmed cases and deaths caused by the coronavirus (#COVID19) worldwide, a lot of countries have been forced to stay in lockdown and our very own Nigeria has begun her own lockdown with the center of excellence Lagos state imposing a lockdown as at 11 pm on 30/03/2020. Since companies and all sorts of businesses have been forced to shut down, staffs and other business persons are working from home. The duration of how long this is going to be for is dependent on how soon the COVID-19 virus pandemic lasts for.

We hope you are following the guidelines to help combat this virus in your various homes, and as a reminder here are a few of the guidelines by the World Health Organisation.

Ensure you wash your hands regularly and thoroughly with an alcohol-based hand rub or wash them with soap and water. Do this almost throughout the day and avoid touching your face. Now it is a challenge, however, hand hygiene is one of the most important and essential ways we can curb this outbreak.

Maintain social distancing, there is some confusion as to what this means, basically do not go outside of your house unless it is essential and if it is essential, such as going to work if you are a health worker et al or going to the shops for lockdown items in the case of states yet to be on total lockdown like Ogun where the lockdown starts after 03/03/2020, keep a distance of 1-2 meters and this should still be minimized.

But how have you been coping with social distancing? Please let us know how good you are at keeping that distance of 1-2 meters.

Remember you can stay in touch with loved ones through your Whatsapp, Twitter, Telegram, Instagram and Facebook.

If you or any member of your family have any related symptoms to this pandemic, remember to follow the advice of the medical authorities or call the NCDC toll free line on 0800 970000 10.

Stay safe during this season.

Please give us your comments on how you are coping and any tips you have like herbal mixture etc.
