A cashier’s job involves a range of responsibilities that focus on handling transactions and assisting customers in a retail setting.

• Minimum Qualification: High School (S.S.C.E)
• Experience Level: Entry level
• Experience Length: 1 year

• Managing transactions with customers using cash registered
• Scanning goods and ensuring pricing is accurate.
• Collecting payments whether in cash or credit.
• Issuing receipts, refunds, change, or tickets
• Redeeming stamps and coupons.
• Cross-selling products and introducing new ones.
• Resolving customer complaints, guiding them, and providing relevant information.
• Greeting customers when entering or leaving the store.
• Maintaining clean and tidy checkout areas.
• Tracking transactions on balance sheets and reporting any discrepancies.
• Bagging, boxing, or gift-wrapping packages.
• Handling merchandise returns and exchanges.

• Work experience as a Retail Cashier or in a similar role in sales.
• Basic PC knowledge and familiarity with electronic equipment, like cash register and POS.
• Good math skills.
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Customer satisfaction-oriented.
• A high school degree is often required.
