The Branch Accountant is to assist the Chief Branch Accountant in the day-to-day finance and Administration duties. The role is to ensure proper cash/record keeping and documentation of the company’s financial books. All tasks, authorities and responsibilities are subject to approval by the Finance Manager and the Chief Branch Accountant

  • Experience Length:8 years

Description

  • Represents the Chief Branch Account while out of office. 
  • Booking of Vendor invoices/POs.
  • Preparation of bank Instructions/Cash disbursement.
  • Booking of cash/bank payments and vouchers
  • Cleaning of vendors' and customers’ accounts.
  • Extraction, preparation, payment, and filling of branch staff PAYE.
  • Daily bank activities and runs.
  • Handling staff pension payments.
  • Third-party invoice registrations.

Qualification

  • Academic qualification of a BSc/HND in Accounting, Economics or Finance.
  • Membership of a recognized accounting body e.g., ICAN
  • Industry experience (minimum 5 years)
  • Working experience (minimum 8 years)
  • Management experience (minimum 5 years)
  • Preferably experience in an international work environment
  • Language skills: Fluent in English additional language a plus
