The Tax Accountant is responsible for analyzing fiscal matters and preparing, submitting and managing tax statements and returns. The Tax Accountant also looks after providing advice on financial and tax matters and should have an in-depth knowledge of the regulations, laws and acts that govern this process.

• Experience Length:5 years

• Prepare tax provisions schedules, returns, payments, and reports and maintain a company’s tax database
• Find tax solutions to complicated tax issues or errors from incorrect tax filings
• Identify legal tax savings and recommend ways to improve profits
• Make sure that clients comply with federal, state and local tax regulations
• Advise management about the impact of tax liabilities and corporate strategies or new tax laws
• Coordinate outsourced tax preparation work
• Accurately prepare quarterly and annual tax reports
• Keep up-to-date with tax changes and industry trends by participating in educational opportunities, participating in professional organizations, keeping up with professional networks and reading professional publications

• Minimum academic qualification of Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Minimum of 5 years of work experience as an Accountant or similar role.
• Professional experience working with confidential and sensitive information
• Experience managing business paperwork and accounting for a large company
• Knowledge of state and federal tax form processes and how to accurately and properly prepare forms for each
• Ability to communicate effectively and keep all departments aware of necessary documentation and paperwork
• Professional understanding of the best accounting strategies and advanced mathematical skills
• Skilled in using tax preparation software and experience in troubleshooting common tax program challenges
• Good communication skills and excellent numeracy skills.
• Time management and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and  well-organized
