You will become part of our global Mission Critical Facilities (MCF) team, which provides a multidisciplinary package of consultancy services for our data center clients. We provide strategic, tactical, and operational advice to our clients, including colocation data centers, internet service providers, and telecom companies. Our team consists of colleagues with all kinds of different expertise. For example, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, construction, civil, structure, building, architecture, fire safety, control engineering, and security technology. Together we use our knowledge and expertise to develop integrated designs for Data Centres. You will join a leading market and work with a dedicated and passionate team ranked as one of the best Data Centre design & engineering teams globally. You will join the Industry & Buildings Advisory Group, which forms part of our Nigeria entity. You will be based at our Lagos office.

Description

  • Prepare/Assist with reports, technical drawings, engineering specifications, and tender documentation
  • Measuring and compiling bills of quantities
  • Perform site inspections and attend meetings
  • Design of HVAC and building services
  • Provide technical and administrative support with the preparation of bid submissions
  • Ensure that all quality system procedures are followed in the production and issuing of designs, costing, drawings, and standard details
  • Regular contact and communication with the Project Engineers.

Qualification

  • BSc/BEng degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Significant progress towards Professional registration with COREN, and MNSE will be advantageous
  • Minimum of 3 years post graduate relevant, multi-disciplinary experience, preferably within a consulting engineering environment
  • BIM and Revit experience are non-negotiable.
  • BIM360, Revizto, Dynamo, and Python experience are advantageous.
  • Data center experience is highly advantageous
  • Demonstrable experience in the mechanical engineering field with an in-depth
  • knowledge of Building Services, and HVAC.
  • Experience with data centers / mission-critical facilities advantageous
  • Extensive knowledge of local and international standards and codes
  • Be able to develop engineering documentation from first principles.
  • Knowledge of specialist packages as well as Microsoft Office, including Teams,
  • Excel, Word, Access, and Microsoft Project
  • Good communication and people management skills for effective interface with other engineering disciplines, the client, and contractors.
  • The ability to work independently and with limited supervision
  • Must be a team player at all times and support the team with integrity and respect
  • Enthusiastic, go-getter attitude
  • Accurate and detail-oriented with good organizational skills (plan and prioritize)
  • Ability to meet multiple deadlines and handle pressure
