We are looking to hire a Quantity Surveyor for our client, a reputable organization in the Oil and Gas sector. The successful candidate will be required to add significant value to construction projects, by ensuring timely completion and adherence to budgeted figures.

• Minimum Qualification: Degree
• Experience Level: Mid level
• Experience Length: 2 years

• Conducting Quantity survey exercise on-site; vet and control quantities of works done on-site
• Preparing cost analysis based on drawings, engineering estimates, materials required, and labor involved.
• Preparing cost plans to enable design teams to produce practical designs for construction projects, which involves liaising with architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
• Monitoring and keeping track of project progress and is responsible for the measurement and valuation of variations in the work during the contract, for agreement of interim payments, and the final account.
• Monitoring usage of materials and placing orders on time, to avoid being out of stock.
• Preparing reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, risk assessment, and other documents.
• Keeping track of changes in design, documenting, and adjusting the budget.
• Carrying out monthly valuations of work done
• Reviewing materials delivered to site/ material testing

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying
• Minimum of 2 years post-NYSC experience in a similar role
• Professional qualifications/certifications are an added advantage
• Strong numerical abilities
• Strong negotiation skills
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Ability to use specialist software
• Attention to detail and methodical approach to work
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
