We are looking to hire a Civil/Structural Engineer for our client, a reputable organization in the Oil and Gas sector. The ideal candidate should be an innovative, smart, result-oriented professional who is able to design, develop and oversee our client’s various construction projects from conception through to completion.

• Minimum Qualification: Degree
• Experience Level: Mid level
• Experience Length: 2 years

• Carry out civil/structural (concrete and steel) design & engineering including drafting and detailing.
• Develop structural design calculation reports.
• Liaise with geotechnical engineers to investigate ground conditions and assessment of results (soil samples and in-site tests).
• Undertake structural and technical studies including site investigations.
• Compile project specifications and supervise tendering procedures.
• Prepare weekly and monthly status/progress reports.
• Prepare technical proposals.
• Ensure quality compliance on projects and incorporate HSE criteria in the civil/structural design.
• With direct supervision of a Lead or Senior Engineer, will be required to carry out engineering analysis and recommend technical solutions, generate detailed engineering drawings, liaise with the drafting personnel for the preparation of drawings, and prepare engineering reports.
• Identify and report to Senior Engineer all events, requests, which are not compliant with the project scope of work.
• Preparation of various structural specifications for construction, structural steelwork, structural fabrication/construction, installation & tie-ins, etc

• Degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum of 2 years post-NYSC experience in a similar role
• Use of 3D modeling tools such as PDMS, EDS, and AutoCAD 3D for design reviews and presentations
• Must be familiar with relevant industry codes and standards, design specifications, and practices.
• COREN Certification is an advantage.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and work within budgets
• Sound mathematical, scientific, and IT skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills
