Summary

Our client is looking for a proactive, strategic, and detail-oriented Chief of Staff who is passionate about maximizing the business and strategic impact of the team and about organizational effectiveness. The Chief of Staff will ensure the strategic execution of the executive team’s priorities, be responsible for business performance and budget management while acting as an advisor to the leadership team. This role requires a highly resourceful, self-driven individual with the ability to partner, execute, and lead through influence and collaboration - across the company. The Company’s Chief of Staff will report to the CEO and will work closely with the executive team and board.

Description

  • Serve as the ambassador to the CEO and The Company’s brand, both internally and  externally; keep the CEO accessible, open to new ideas and informed on critical topics.
  • Act as thought partner in discussions around challenging issues and develop plans that  will bring them to resolution. Use diplomacy and discretion when communicating with a  wide variety of stakeholders. 
  • On behalf of the CEO, build and nurture relationships with key clients and strategic  partners relationships and facilitate all interactions with the Board of Directors.
  • Partner with CEO to advance The Company’s progress on culture-enhancing activities, including Diversity & Inclusion efforts. 
  • Develop and execute an outreach strategy that defines where and how the CEO touches the organization, key clients, and partners, balancing time spent on strategy, culture, and external obligations.
  • Leverage strategic and project management capabilities, strong analytic and financial  acumen to synthesize information, distill salient points, analyze data, prioritize business goals and drive results with a high sense of urgency. 
  • Collaborate with Executive team one creation of concise, clear Board reporting  materials. 
  • Synthesize information from across business units, horizontal and corporate functions,  and regions to create crisp, concise executive briefings and presentation materials.
  • Anticipate, identify, and troubleshoot issues of concerns or significance and exercise  
  • discretion relating to People Operations, terminations, performance, etc. 
  • Act as a funnel of information for the CEO, organizing the flow of information to/from  him and proactively highlighting issues that require his attention. Create executive  briefings to prepare the CEO for the week ahead. 
  • Create clear, succinct executive-level communications, written and visual, for both  internal and external channels, leveraging deep knowledge and significant understanding of the organization, business and culture. 
  • Oversee CEO’s calendar scheduling. Proactively respond to all requests and ensure all  corporate commitments of/to the CEO are met. Iterate on calendar analytics reporting and  continuously adjust towards the right mix of stakeholder meetings. 
  • Set cadence for company meetings, leadership meetings, employee interactions and  other internally facing situations. Set meeting agendas and ensure all participants are  prepared. Additionally, collaborate to organize company retreats, and other special  events. 
  • Take precise meeting notes and track meeting follow-ups, facilitating the removal of  obstacles or mitigating risks that may inhibit delivery. 

Qualification

  • Daily update of cash position and 12-month cash forecast; Ensure the company has sufficient funds to execute cash initiatives. 
  • Payment investigation/correction. 
  • Responsible for electronic funds transfer entry (and occasional approval).
  • Assist with all bank compliance issues.
